Max Filby, class of 2013, is a reporter at the Columbus Dispatch. Max was editor-in-chief of The BG News in 2012-13, as well as news editor in 2011-12 and the 2012 summer editor. He also spent time as a reporter and assistant web editor. He covers health and medicine for the Dispatch and spent most of 2020 reporting on COVID-19. Previously, he covered higher education and the U.S. Air Force for the Dayton Daily News. Before heading to Dayton, Max also worked as a city hall reporter for The Courier in Findlay and covered the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Max is a past president of the BG News Alumni Society.
