Duane Pohlman (’87) returned to BGSU to share the most recent product of his five-year investigation into a cancer cluster in Pike County, Ohio, Fallout: Contamination, Cancer & Death.
Pohlman, who chairs the Journalism Advisory Committee for the School of Media & Communication, introduced the piece through the lens of what it takes to do this kind of journalism. Halfway through the 60-minute video, he took time to talk about the emotional toll and personal connections. Finally, he closed out the evening with a lively Q&A and meeting one-on-one with a number of students who braved a chilly evening.
